About

Maple Tree provides compassionate and effective therapy using psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour approaches. We emphasise inclusivity by offering bulk billing to clients with mental health care plans, ensuring equal access to high-quality mental health services.

Daniel is a clinical psychologist with nineteen years in the mental health care industry and fourteen years in clinical private practice.

During this time Daniel has worked with people from varying social economic and cultural backgrounds.

Daniel’s previous work experience includes, a stint in brain injury rehabilitation, a prison, drug and alcohol addiction agencies, child and adolescent based organisations, high schools, an anger management centre as well as spending the last thirteen years in private practice.

Helping people make lasting changes to their lives, finding quick solutions to problems, gaining confidence and increasing skill level is what Daniel enjoys most about his work. Daniel uses psychodynamic therapy (PDT) and some elements of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to help clients work through their issues.

Born and raised in Canada, Daniel completed his first degree there. Once he relocated to Australia he studied his Psychodynamic Therapy and Counselling Masters, 20 years later he is now thriving in the beautiful city of Brisbane.

Daniel is a caring and compassionate professional who enjoys working with clients who want to understand the deeper workings of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Daniel believes that we should all be treated as equals and for this reason he offers bulkbilling to all clients who have a mental health care plan from their GP.​
